Accessibility statement
I want everyone to be able to use CiteMyPage, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or other assistive technology. This statement covers the website at citemypage.com.
The standard I follow
I aim to meet Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, as required by the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. I also design against the newer WCAG 2.1 at level AA. I believe the website largely meets this level, with the limitations listed below.
What I have done
- Every feature works with a keyboard alone, and a visible outline shows where you are.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach with the Tab key.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and a set page language, so screen readers can move around them.
- Form fields, buttons and menus have text labels.
- Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and controls meet the WCAG AA color contrast ratio. Scores are always shown as words and numbers, not by color alone.
- Pages work at 200% zoom and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels without sideways scrolling.
- Moving effects are turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Screen readers announce when a scan or comparison finishes, which results tab is open, and whether each check passed.
- The downloadable report has a clear heading structure and meets the same contrast and layout standards as the website.
How I checked
On 5 and 6 November 2026 I tested the home page, the scan results (all four tabs), the compare and multi page views, the downloadable report, both guides and the legal pages. I used the axe automated checker on desktop and phone sizes, went through the site using only a keyboard, and reviewed what screen readers receive: labels, headings, tab states and announcements. On 6 November 2026 I also tested a guide, a scan, the results and the tabs with the NVDA screen reader in Chrome on Windows. The automated checks found no remaining issues.
Known limitations
- Results quote text from the page you scan, exactly as it appears there. If that page is not accessible, its quoted text may not be either.
- I have tested with NVDA in Chrome on Windows, but not yet with other screen readers such as JAWS or VoiceOver.
- The CiteMyPage Chrome extension is a separate product and is not covered by this statement.
Physical accessibility
CiteMyPage is an online service only. It has no office or physical place that serves the public.
